One of the aspects of extra curricular activities I commit to is music. I am currently in the Chamber Choir, a subset of the Senior Choir and also a Harmonix member - both of which I sing Alto 1.
I find choir quite interesting as it had taught me so much. Singing in a choir is all about being independent in a group and working well in harmony with others. The alto part is mainly a supporting part, sometimes singing in parallel to the sopranos on the melody and on the occasionally occurring couple of bars, lead the whole choir community.
Apart from the harmony of the parts, music had also helped me make friends beyond my year group, which I find is a benefit as it allows me to view things from more diverse views. These connections also helped me realise the potential that lies in many of the younger kids in the school (some of which I helped encourage to be part of house events).
Music is just so good :3
